What do you think will make a perfect healing getaway? A fancy beach resort, a serene mountain hideaway, or perhaps a quiet temple where you can find your soul solace, right?
But why not shake things up a bit? How about exploring a whole new country for a refreshing take on self-discovery?
That's exactly what happened when I embarked on an Indochina travel journey.
More than just a trip, it was a changing adventure that combined moments of exploration and healing.
VIETNAM
Let's start with Vietnam—a country bursting with urban energy and natural beauty. For someone visiting this beautiful Southeast Asia country for the first time like me, having a tour guide for you is more convenient.
And of course, I highly recommend a Vietnam customized tour provided by a reliable travel agency. You guys can check out my suggestions for these signature spots from North to South:
Hanoi:
Vietnam’s capital, Hanoi, is a city of contrast. From the ancient of the Old Quarter to the bustling modern streets. Every corner of the city attracts travelers with its dynamic blend of history and present vibrancy.

Ha Long Bay:
Just about 150 km from Hanoi, Halong Bay is my top-of-mind place when thinking about Vietnam travel. Whether you are kayaking through caves, exploring ancient fishing villages, or just simply relaxing on the boat's deck. Halong Bay will promise an amazing adventure with its surreal beauty.

Hue-Hoi An:
Looking for historic attractions? Then Hue & Hoi An are two must-visit destinations!
In Hue, step back in time by wandering through the ancient citadel and architecture from the Nguyen Dynasty era. Then, head south to Hoi An, where centuries-old merchant houses and lively markets paint a vivid picture of the town's rich history.
I'm sure that these two gems of central Vietnam will bring you a memorable journey.

Of course, there are many other places to discover here, like Ho Chi Minh City, Mekong Delta, etc.

THAILAND
Honestly, Thailand has always been my go-to destination whenever I need a break from the hustle and bustle of life. For newbies, my ultimate recommendation is to embark on a Thailand tailor-made tour. So that you can follow a good route to explore the best. Here are my top favorite spots:
Bangkok:
Well, Bangkok gave me the same vibe as Hanoi. A city of contrast, where tradition meets modernity. In Bangkok, you'll find yourself immersed in a sensory explosion, from the vibrant sights & sounds to the flavor.
And speaking of street food, let me tell you about the culinary delights of Bangkok's vendor markets that you will not want to miss. Absolutely affordable and delectable.

Chiang Mai:
The 2nd largest city in Thailand, Chiang Mai - also known as the temple capital of Thailand. Every spot you look in the city, you will probably see a temple. Chiang Mai's vibe is a mix of its rich history and diverse cultures. You can see this in its ancient city walls, which were built around 1,000 years ago
Chiang Rai:
If you have more time, it’s worth visiting Chiang Rai, a tranquil city not far from Chiang Mai. And FYI, Chiang Rai provides a free tram route for tourists that stops at all major temples around the city center.
Make sure you visit Wat Rong Khun white temple, an undisputed highlight of Chiang Rai, also an Instagram hotspot:D
CAMBODIA
Heading to the next nation, Cambodia, which has brought me humbled by the resilience and spirit of its people. Each landscape of Cambodia has represented a tumultuous past and spoke to me of the power of hope.
Angkor Wat:
Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has impressed me. Visiting Angkor Wat during the sunset, I found myself lost in the magnificence of the majestic spires of this ancient wonder under the sun.

Siem Reap:
Just a stone's throw away is the vibrant city of Siem Reap. With this city, I don’t think that you should miss the experience of the nightlife scene. Make sure to try the lively bars and vibrant night markets that beckon travelers from near and far.
LAOS
The final country of my trip was Laos. From the mist-covered mountains to the serene waters, Laos exuded an aura of serenity and calm. Here, I found my sense of inner peace and renewal . As Laos great atmosphere, it's worth considering a Laos family tour for a bonding vacation with your loved ones
Luang Prabang:
My first stop in Laos is the picturesque town of Luang Prabang. Time seems to stand still here, amidst the lush and tranquil waters of the Mekong River. Exploring the town, you will witness the interesting alms-giving ceremony. This is a daily ritual, where saffron-robed monks collect offerings from locals.

Pak Ou Cave:
Next, I head to the mystical Pak Ou Caves, a signature sacred site. You will see here thousands of Buddha statues standing sentinel amidst the candlelight. Trust me guys, it's a spiritual journey like no other.

Kuang Si Waterfall:
Get yourself prepared guys, as the breathtaking beauty of Kuang Si Waterfall will have you enchanted. This natural wonder captivates me from first sight with its crystal-clear turquoise pools and cascading tiers of water.

After all, the most profound impact of my travel to Indochina was the way it changed my mindset of healing.
In a world constantly in motion, it's easy to overlook the importance of our well-being. This journey reminded me to slow down, take a breather, and appreciate the beauty of the world around us.
So, if you're in need of a little renewal and transformation, why not give Indochina a try? Whether you're traveling solo or with family, it's sure to be an adventure you'll never forget.
