Travel to Vietnam: One-of-a-kind experience

Vietnam stole my heart!

Việt Nam

Hi mates, I’m Andy.

Maybe when hearing the country’s name, you can think right of steaming bowls of pho, emerald rice paddies, and ancient temples. But what if I told you, that Vietnam could be more than just a postcard destination?

This Southeast Asian gem offers an unforgettable adventure. It can be a transformative travel experience, all with a Vietnam tailor-made tour crafted just for you.

Planning a trip to Vietnam can seem daunting, but fear not, mates. Here's a glimpse into what awaits you to craft your own unforgettable Vietnamese adventure, just like mine.

[GOOD NEWS!] Visa Exemption (for some):

First things first - visas! Depending on your nationality, you might be eligible for a visa exemption for stays under 15 days in Vietnam. Double-check visa requirements before booking flights. This was a huge bonus for me, allowing me to jump right into exploring.

Hanoi: A Sensory Feast

My journey began in Hanoi, Vietnam's capital. The Old Quarter was a sensory overload in the best way possible. Imagine narrow streets overflowing with shops, food stalls spewing delicious aromas, and motorbikes zipping by. Pure magic!

I even took a stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake, a picturesque spot with a historic temple in the center. History buffs, don't miss the One Pillar Pagoda, a unique structure standing on a single pillar in the middle of a lake.

Mai Chau: Escape to Tranquility

Craving a break from the city noise? Mai Chau was my saving grace. This rural paradise boasts breathtaking rice paddies and traditional stilt houses. I spent my days exploring the surrounding countryside, learning about the ethnic Thai people's culture, and feeling the warm hospitality.

Halong Bay: A UNESCO World Heritage Site

Dramatic limestone formations jutting out from emerald water - need I say more?

Cruise through a maze of these limestone pillars, some reaching heights of hundreds of meters. Many are hollowed out by time and the elements, revealing hidden caves waiting to be explored.

Hoi An: A Town Painted in Silk

Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a town dipped in charm. Explore its colorful old town, dotted with friendly tailor shops, art galleries, and cafes. Rent a bicycle and explore the surrounding countryside, stopping at the Japanese Covered Bridge, a historic landmark.

When night comes, it is incredible to see the town transformed into a sea of shimmering lights of lanterns.

I believe Hoi An is such a perfect destination for a Vietnam family tour. Kids will love the vibrant atmosphere, the chance to get custom-made clothes at a tailor shop (a great souvenir!), and delicious street food options.

Ho Chi Minh City: A Fusion of Energy

Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon, pulsated with energy. French colonial architecture like the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office left me speechless.

Balance the chaos with a visit to the Notre Dame Cathedral. Step inside to admire the stained-glass windows and intricate details, a historical contrast to the vibrant energy of the city.

Mekong Delta: Where Life Floats By

The Mekong Delta, Vietnam's southernmost region, is a maze of waterways and fertile rice fields. Exploring Can Tho, the largest city in the Delta, by cruising through the Cai Be floating markets was an absolute highlight.

Imagine a vibrant display of local produce and crafts, all bobbing on the water! Witness the daily activities of the Mekong Delta locals as they barter and trade their goods. This bustling market offers a glimpse into a unique way of life and is a photographer's dream.

Crafting Your Dream Vietnam Adventure

This is just a taste of the incredible experiences Vietnam has to offer. Whether you're a history buff, a nature lover, or a foodie, there's something for you.

To personalize your trip and ensure you hit all your must-sees, I highly recommend you consider a Vietnam customized tour from a credible travel agency.

Last time in 2023, I chose Nadova Tours and they were fantastic! My tour guide - Mr. Hai - was incredibly knowledgeable. Nadova really took the time to understand what I wanted out of my trip and crafted an itinerary that perfectly suited my interests and budget. They made the whole experience so smooth that I just had to rave about them on TripAdvisor!
