Beautiful North East Vietnam Motorbike Tour 7 days

After a hearty breakfast we saddle up and make the start for our Vietnam Motorbike Tour out of the city limits and the lowlands and plains of the Red River Delta.

The North East Vietnam Motorbike Tour is also started with a possible riding through countryside surrounded by high mountains after we turn off to National Road No1 for first drive to Bac Son. Bac Son is a small town in the province of Lang Son, lying at an enchanted scenic valley. Bac Son valley was embraced by the evergreen mountains and peaceful rivers with yellowish rice fields. Therefore, Bac Son valley is an ideal location in the North East Vietnam for biker. Tonight, we will stay overnight and have dinner in a homestay of Tay people.

After breakfast, back on road to our North East Vietnam Motorbike Tour, we strike directly north, then we join the legendary ‘Highway 4′ where the Viet Minh forces carried out numerous raids over uncountable passes in this remote border region. In the afternoon, the riding turns into quite challenging way on mountain road. Today, the most impressive landscape of Cao Bang appeared with the riding from Dong Khe to Quang Uyen. The scenery of the road is unique with the steep limestone mountains and a green rows of sugar-cane fields. After savoring this scenic site, we ride down to small town Quang Uyen. Today, our North East Vietnam Motorbike Tour will move south-west from Cao Bang and breach several passes on route insinde an area hosting huge mountain scenery. The Cao Bac Pass offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Descending the pass we see hillsides carpeted with apiaries, Vietnam’s most famous honey-producing areas. This place is one of the favorite areas for Vietnam motorbike tours.

Today we will experience one of the best routes in Vietnam for motorbikers. The ride today is mostly on small challenging mountain roads (but incredibly beautiful) on the land of colorful hill-tribes. It is so inspiring to see how the people survive as they manage to live in the rocks. When we reach town we will have some extra time to wonder the ancient streets lined with H’mong homes of clay bricks and tiles roofs built centuries ago.

Head up the incredible Ma Pi Leng Pass. Here is yet another amazing place, with cloudy mountain ranges and the stunning Nho Que river winding off in the distance.
It is really difficult to find the exact words to describe Ma Pi Leng Pass, located between Dong Van and Meo Vac, near the northernmost tip of Vietnam, as a painting of astonishing beauty and magnificence that captures the eyes of all viewers and nature lovers.

Ride on a zig-zag track until reaching Vuong Family’s Residence, 14 kms before Dong Van. Vuong Family was considered the King of the Hmong People in Dong Van, Ha Giang. Their residence was built in the scenic valley of Sa Phin with Chinese architecture. The whole house was built out of wood and rock only. The rocks for the buildings were imported from China. Vuong Family Residence is a masterpiece of man work in the valley of heavenly beauty of Sa Phin.

Today is another beautiful day of the North East Vietnam Motorbike Tour. Rise and shine for a few hours trek to many of the Heaven Gates such as Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Dong Van. They are so called because one gets the feeling of touching the sky – heaven’s gates. This is the best moment and place to enjoy the wonderful sightseeing of this vast limestone mountain range and perpendicular walls of rock, which brings one a feeling of adventure whilst being lost in a magic land. Here we are surrounded by many rocks of all shapes and sizes. Stay overnight in a homestay in Tay village.

After breakfast, we join the National road No 2 ride down to Vu Linh, where we stop for the night. Before getting to the Dzao village, we ride along Thac Ba lake on a small road lined by palm trees and scenic mountain views, if the time permit we can have small boat trip around Thac Ba Lake – the largest artificial lake with more than 3000 islands. Homestay in Dzao Family.
